Position - Domiciliary Care Worker
Job Description
The Domiciliary Care worker works as part of a team providing personal, domestic and social care at home to vulnerable individuals (including frail elderly, those with physical and learning disabilities and mental health) and their carers.
The various tasks to be performed by the domiciliary care worker may cover all or some of the following according to the individual needs of the client assessed by the appropriate professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care as specified on the care plan for the service user. This includes assisting service users with all aspects of personal hygiene i.e. washing, shaving, showering, bed calls etc.
Assist service users with toileting, dressing/undressing and feeding
Assist service users with mobility and transfer using correctly any specialised equipment provided.
Administer prescribed medication, only as directed by a qualified medical practitioner under the direction of a supervisor
Assist service users with therapeutic programmes as directed by relevant professionals
Domestic Care when directed, maintain cleanliness of Service users home to ensure a safe environment set out in the health and safety requirements.
When directed by the supervisor, preparing meals, lighting fires, attending to laundry, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.
Social Care to actively encourage service users according to their capabilities in the care plan to participate in daily activities. To have the ability to listen and provide support to individual clients and carers.
Managing affairs under the direction of a supervisor, for example, collecting benefits, and shopping.
Collaboration with other personnel involved in the care of the service user i.e. G.P’s, Nurses, and Social Workers, etc.
General duties The domiciliary worker must maintain accurate and reliable information recorded in line with Gloriavd Healthcare Ltd Services policies and procedures.
Participating in the Induction programme and in-service training
Relevant administration (completion of timesheets, incident forms, activity sheets, etc)
Attending meetings (staff, assessment, team)
Adhere to and ensure safe practice according to health and safety procedures
Any other appropriate duties as directed by the Care Coordinator.
The confidentiality of the client must be maintained at all times.
To comply with the training and development requirements set out by Gloriavd Healthcare Ltd Services
Participate in the Induction programme, attend in-service training and update mandatory training when required.

The Domiciliary care worker must always liaise closely with the Supervisor, reporting any significant or unusual change i.e. accidents, incidents or illness etc.
Monday-Sunday for Morning/Lunch and Afternoon (Tea) runs: £12.86ph
PLUS Mileage at 30p per Mile
Successful applicants must be willing to carry out an Enhanced Access NI check. Having a criminal conviction will not necessarily prohibit you from working with Gloriavd Healthcare Ltd Services. This will depend on the information provided and obtained from the disclosure certificate.

Care Coordinator
You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring company policies and procedures, data and quality assurance systems and assist the Office Manager in the day to day running of the office, ensuring Comforting Care delivers a high-quality service to all its Service Users.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualised care plans for clients.
Provide support to clients and their families in navigating the health care system.
Monitor and assess client progress towards goals.
Collaborate with other health care professionals to coordinate care for clients.
Develop relationships with community resources to ensure access to necessary services.
Assessing and producing accurate and complying Care Plans, Risk Assessments
Ensuring that staff availability forms are completed and updated by all staff on a regular basis.
Producing weekly staff rotas
Ensuring the quality of staff paperwork regarding accuracy for audit and payroll
Ensuring that the company’s computer system is regularly updated with regards to Service Users
Ensuring that all incident reports received are correctly logged and followed through completely and feedback is given
Completing weekly management reports to include increases in hours, decreases in hours, staff recruitment/retention, concerns raised due to incorrectly completed paperwork
Aiding with the delivery of service (including negotiating with relevant Commissioning Teams, Service Users and other relevant authorities and organisations and that initial assessments and reviews of care are undertaken
Offering support and assist with the supervision of care staff on a regular basis which will contribute to their development needs
Assist with recruitment of new staff and evaluations of current staff members
Carrying out any other duties as requested by the Office Manager and Directors, along with any tasks which may arise on a day-to-day basis that may fall within your remit as Care Coordinator.
Care Coordinators must assist in the covering of care due to staff absences, holidays or staff shortages as well as having the on call phone on a rota basis. Delivery of care takes priority over office-based tasks.
May consider part time hours.
A full and valid UK Driving Licence is essential for this role.
